Episode Notes

There is a lot of confusion around child themes. Many people think the child themes are necessary for all WordPress websites. Purchases at the case. As page builders have come along and really gained in popularity, child themes just are not as necessary as they once were

That doesn’t mean that child things don’t have a place in word press. They absolutely do! They allow for additional functionality on top of themes that you may purchase. They allow you to get very creative and to put your own touch on I purchased WordPress theme.

We’re going to show you a few places were you can still get some very high-quality child themes for Divi. These are all sources that we trust. These sources have been reliable and continue to put out high-quality work for years.

I said it to begin with and I’ll say it again, child themes are not as necessary as they once were but they absolutely have a place. I have found some extremely high-quality child themes on the place as well outlined here.

Number one on this list is DiviLife.com. They’re on this list specifically because of the owner. Tim Strifler is a name you’ll recognize if you spend enough time in the Divi community. Tim has created some amazing products that expand the functionality of Divi. He is very willing to help out anyone in need. Definitely visit DiviLife.com and check out all of the amazing child themes that Tim and his team have available.

Number two on this list is divi.space. David Blackman and Korey Jenkins have created one of the most well-known brands in Debbie space and Aspen Grove Studios.com. They have so many amazing plug-ins like page builder everywhere and so many more. On top of that they’ve created a ton of amazing child themes that are ready and waiting for you right now. They develop some amazing products and their child themes expand greatly on the basic functionality of Divi. If you weren’t familiar with the work click the link in the show notes and visit the site immediately.

Number three on our list is Divi Ultimate. It’s a child theme that I’ve used very regularly before the new Divi 4.0 theme builder. Divi Ultimate allowed me to expand the functionality of blog posts and make them unique from every other Divi site. I can’t say enough good things about Divi ultimate. It was part of my blueprint in Local by Flywheel. That just means I used it on every single Divi website that I made over the last year or two. Now the theme builder is here the value of Divi Ultimate isn’t quite what it was before but that doesn’t mean that it’s not useful. The plug-in is great and I know that Divi Ultimate will update to version nine and that will up the game even more.

The final source for child teams on this list is be superfly. These people are pure artists! The child themes they have available on their site like Josefin are some of the best child themes you can get. They’re so well coded, the layouts are amazing and they just look pretty. Do yourself a favor and look through all of the themes they have available and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for hanging out for another episode of Divi Addicts. We hope you found a child theme or two to help build your next project. We’ll see you next week on another episode of Divi Addicts!
